Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6, 2026 · Applies to becomeobsidian.com and the Obsidian iOS app, operated by PulseOS LLC

Obsidian is a private, invite-only brotherhood for men committed to personal transformation, operated by PulseOS LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what the brotherhood needs to function, we don't run ads, we don't use trackers, and we never sell your data.

1. Information we collect

What we do not collect

2. What other members can see

Obsidian is a brotherhood — parts of your presence are visible to other members by design. All of it is behind member sign-in; nothing is public on the open internet.

We label what is shared where, inside the product.

3. How we use your information

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not profile you for marketing, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by the CCPA.

5. Storage, security, and international transfers

Your data is stored on servers we operate in the United States. All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS, passwords are bcrypt-hashed, and access to production data is restricted to those who operate the service. If you use Obsidian from outside the U.S., you understand your information is processed in the U.S.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep your information while you are a member. When your membership ends — or any time you ask — you can request deletion of your account and personal data by emailing support@becomeobsidian.com from your account email. We complete deletion requests within 30 days; residual copies in encrypted backups age out on our backup cycle. We may retain minimal records where the law requires it.

7. Your rights

To exercise any right, email support@becomeobsidian.com. We respond within 30 days.

8. Age

Obsidian is for adults. You must be 18 or older to apply and to use the service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date above. Material changes will be announced to members before they take effect.
